Workshop
highlights: Chogyals' in Udaipur, Kripals,
blue pottery, Sanganer ( block Printing ) in Jaipur and Bhists
in Delhi - Or similar in these cities.
Blue
Pottery, Jaipur : Mr. Kripal Singh ji is an very old and
very famous artist of Blue Pottery work and hand made miniature
paintings and wall paintings [ frescos] . He is making the
blue pottery from his own house and visits can be possible
if you send the request in advance . Guests can see the demonstration
of the blue pottery work at his house.
Handicraft
: Guests can visit the in the market some private workshops
in the old town . The handy craft work will as under :- Terra
Cotta / Bangles and other ornaments made by Lacquer / embroidery
by silk , silver and golden threads / Tie and Dye works etc.

Block
Printing / Hand Made Paper : Guests can also visit Sanganer
the town near Jaipur , famous for the Block printing and hand
made paper factories where they can see the demonstration
of block printing and paper making by local workers .
Day
01 : Arrive Mumbai
On
arrival in Mumbai, the dynamic city of tycoons, skyscrapers,
film studios and big business, the group will be met &
transferred to the Oberoi Towers Hotel. Later leave
for Prince of Wales Museum, founded in 1905 by the
Prince (later King George V) during his first visit to India.
Its superlative collection of sculpture, paintings and decorative
arts ranks it among the great museums of India.
Day 02 : Mumbai - Aurangabad ( By flight 9W 103 -
1930 hours / 2015 hours )
Morning enjoy an interesting drive through this vibrant city.
Travel along the elegant arc shaped Marine Drive past
the famous Chowpatty Beach to the impressive Gateway
to India, along Flora Fountain via legendary Victoria
Terminus. Evening transfer to the domestic airport to
fly to Aurangabad. On arrival, the group will be met and the
transferred to the Hotel Ambassador Ajanta. B
Day
03 : Aurangabad
Today you will go on a full day excursion to the Ajanta
Caves, 107 kilometers northeast of Aurangabad. The incredible
rock-cut monuments of Ajanta, housing important examples of
Buddhist architecture and sculpture, are positively the best
and most comprehensive examples of early Buddhist paintings.
A British Captain, John Smith, in 1819, accidentally discovered
the Ajanta caves. The cave temples are cut into the rocky
slides of a dramatic crescent-shaped gorge, at the head of
which, is a waterfall that feeds a natural pool, the Saptakunda.
There are thirty excavations many unfinished. Some of the
paintings depict the Buddhist way of life, divided into two
distinct periods an earlier Hinayana period and a later Mahayana
Phase.B
Day
04 : Aurangabad - Mumbai ( By flight 9W 104 - 2055 hours
/ 2140 hours )
After
breakfast, excursion to the Ellora Caves, the famed
group of cave-temples at Ellora is located 26 kilometers north
of Aurangabad. The monuments are excavated out of the vertical
face of the Khuldabad escarpment to face westwards across
the Deccan plain. The Ellora monuments span a period of about
three hundred and fifty years, from the sixth to the tenth
centuries AD. The architecture is inspired by practice at
other rock cut locales in the Western Deccan coupled with
constructional activity at areas further south. The Ellora
caves, exemplifies the last stage in the development of the
rock-cut medium, and the outpouring authority of free structural
architecture. The sculptures are one the greatest, examples
of the Chalukya, Kalachuri and Rashtrakuta era. Afternoon
at leisure. Evening transfer to the airport to fly to Mumbai.
On arrival, the group will be met and transferred to The
Orchid Hotel. B
Day
05 : Mumbai - Udaipur (By flight 9W 3301 - 0555 hours
/ 0740 hours)
Early
morning transfer to the airport to fly to Udaipur. On arrival,
the group will be met and transferred to The Trident Hotel.
Morning we will have a half day city tour of Udaipur, which
includes the City Palace, Saheliyon-ki-Bari (Garden
where women of the royal household would meet) and the Jagdish
Temple (Built in 1651 AD by Maharana Jagat Singh, this
Indo-Aryan temple is the most beautiful temple of Udaipur).
Afternoon visit Mr. & Mrs. Choyal's workshop.
Evening, we have a boat ride around the fabulous Lake
Pichola, which will include a visit to another island palace
called the Jagmandir. B
Day
06 : Udaipur - Jaipur ( By flight 9W 3301 - 0810
hours / 0915 hours )
Morning
transfer to the airport to fly to Jaipur, the beautiful pink
city almost totally built in shimmering pink sandstone. On
arrival, the group will be met and transferred to The Trident
Hotel. Later, visit the fairy tale like Amber Fort,
where you ascend the hill like a Maharaja on the back of an
elephant. Afternoon a quick city tour of Jaipur, which includes
visits to the City Palace of the Jaipur Maharaja, the
honey-comb designed Hawa Mahal also known as the Palace
of Winds from where the royal ladies, who lived in seclusion,
observed life on the outside yet remained hidden inside. Also
we visit the amazingly accurate Jantar Mantar stone
Observatory. Later visit Mr. Kirpla Singh's "Kirpal
Kumbh Ceramic Workshop".B
Day
07 : Jaipur :
Morning visit blue pottery work shop. After leave for an excursion
to Sanganer to see the block printing and hand made paper
factory. Overnight at the hotel.

08 : Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra ( By road - 6 hours
including stop at Fatehpur Sikri )
Morning
we drive through the vast farmlands of Uttar Pradesh State.
En route we visit the ghost-city built by the Mughal Emperor
Akbar, one of the finest examples of Mughul architecture in
India - Fatehpur Sikri, built entirely of red sandstone
and now declared as a World Heritage Monument. Tour the tomb
of the holy saint Salim Chisti, where we see some of
the earliest examples of intricate marble lattice work and
luminescent designs in black mother of pearl. In Agra, check
in to The Trident Hotel. Afternoon visit the Agra
Fort, standing testimony in red sandstone to the story
of the Great Mughals. At sunset, visit the legendary Taj
Mahal, poetry in marble and a symbol of eternal love and
one of the Wonders of the World. B
Day
09 : Agra - Jhansi ( By train Shatabadi Express -
0820 hours / 1205 hours )
Jhansi -
Orchha - Khajuraho ( By road - 4 hours drive )
After
breakfast, transfer to the Agra railway station to board the
train Shatabdi Express to Jhansi. On arrival, the group will
be met and drive to Khajuraho, a city of Living Temples. Enroute
visit the Raj Mahal and the Jehangir Mahal.
Thereafter, check in to The Trident Jass Hotel. B
Day
10 : Khajuraho - Delhi ( By flight 9W 724 - 1320
hours / 1540 hours )
Morning
visit the architectural marvels of "The Khajuraho
Temples". These Hindu temples with erotic carvings
were built 1000 years ago with art and architecture merged
to perfection. The walls are richly carved depicting scenes
from the 'Kama Sutra'- The Hindu book of love. Afternoon
transfer to the airport to fly to Delhi. On arrival, the group
will be met and transferred to The Park Hotel. B
Day
11 : Delhi
Morning tour the fascinating sights of Old Delhi, including
the Raj Ghat (Mahatma Gandhi's Memorial), the
Jama Masjid (the Universal Mosque), the Red Fort.
Afternoon enjoy an interesting city tour of New Delhi
visiting the Qutab Minar (A 70 meters high victory
tower built about 800 years ago), the Emperor Humayun's
Tomb (This tomb has served as the base model for the other
Mughal Monuments to follow - including the Taj Mahal). We
will also drive past the India Gate (Built to pay tribute
to the 30,000 Indian soldier, who lost their lives while fighting
for the British during the First World War), the Houses
of the Parliament and the Presidential Palace.
Afternoon visit the studio / workshop of Mr. Ramesh Bisht
at Mehrauli.B

12 : Delhi - International departure
