Day
01 : Arrive Delhi
Upon arrival, our representative will welcome each member
with garlands. After the welcome, we drive in a Luxury
Car to The Oberoi Hotel (Deluxe Room).
Day
02 : Delhi
After breakfast, city tour of New Delhi, visiting the Qutab
Minar (A 70 meters high victory tower built about 800
years ago), the Nila Gumbad and Emperor Humayun's Tomb
(This tomb has served as the base model for the other Mughal
Monuments to follow - including the Taj Mahal). We also drive
past to the India Gate (Built to pay tribute to the
30,000 Indian soldier, who lost their lives while fighting
for the British during the First World War), the Parliament
House and the Presidential Palace. Afternoon, you
will visit the National Museum - with some fine costumes
of tribal and its collection dating back to the 3rd century
BC. This evening, you will see the Cultural dance performance
and have Welcome Dinner at the famous restaurant. B

Day
03 : Delhi
After breakfast, city tour begins with visits to the Raj
Ghat (Mahatma Gandhi's Memorial), the Jama Masjid
(The Universal mosque which can accommodate 20000 people at
a time for prayers), The Red Fort (Built by Mughal
Emperor Shah Jahan). Later we will visit the Chandni Chowk
Bazaar (Silver street), enjoy the rickshaws ride
(tricycles) through the narrow lanes of the silver and goldsmiths
street and the spice market. Optional : Tour to Lajpat
Nagar, an open market or the Dilli Haat promenade
for shopping. Dinner at the hotel. B D
Day
04 : Delhi - Sikandra - Agra ( By road - 4 hours drive )
This
morning, drive to Agra. En route stop at Sikandra 10
kms before Agra, to see the Mausoleum of the Mughal Emperor
Akbar. This building has an excellent Muslim architecture,
which is very evidently visible in the subsequent Mughal buildings,
including the Taj Mahal. Continue on drive to Agra. On arrival,
check in to The Oberoi Amar Vilas Resort (Deluxe Room).
After wash and change, visit the Agra Fort, reminiscent
of the glorious and sorrowful Mughal reign. At sunset, visit
the legendary Taj Mahal by decorated Tonga’s. Dinner
at the hotel. B D
Day
05 : Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur ( By road - 6 hours drive
)
At sunrise, re-visit the legendary Taj Mahal, poetry
in marble and a symbol of eternal love. Return to hotel for
breakfast. After breakfast, drive to Jaipur. En route visit
the Mughal Emperor Akbar - Fatehpur Sikri, built entirely
of red sandstone and Tomb of Salim Chisti. Continue drive
on to Jaipur, the beautiful pink city almost totally built
in shimmering pink sandstone. On arrival, check in to The
Oberoi Raj Vilas (Deluxe Room). Dinner at the hotel. B

06 : Jaipur
After breakfast, visit the fairy tale like Amber Fort,
where you ascend the hill like a Maharaja on the back of an
elephant. After Amer, we have a (optional) visit to a carpet
weaving unit making hand knotted carpets, using vegetable
dyes, thereby making the colors of each piece unique. Afternoon
city tour of Jaipur, which includes visits to the City
Palace of the Jaipur Maharaja, the honey-comb designed
Hawa Mahal, (also known as the Palace of Winds), from
where the royal ladies, who lived in seclusion, observed life
on the outside. Also visit the amazingly accurate Jantar Mantar
stone Observatory. Dinner at the Rambagh Palace. B D

07 : Jaipur / Udaipur ( By flight 9W 709 - 07:00 hrs / 09:30
hrs )
Early
morning, the representative will assist you for transfer to
the airport to fly to Udaipur. On arrival, you will be met
by a representative and transferred to The Oberoi Udai
Vilas Resort (Deluxe Room with semi private pool). Afternoon,
city tour of Udaipur includes the City Palace, Sahalion-ki-Bari
(Garden where women of the royal household would meet)
and the Jagdish Temple (Built in 1651 A.D. by Maharana
Jagat Singh, this Indo-Aryan temple is the most beautiful
temple of Udaipur). Late afternoon, enjoy boat ride
on Lake Pichola. Dinner at the Taj Lake Palace Hotel. B

08 : Udaipur - Ranakpur - Udaipur ( By road - 2 hrs one way
)
After breakfast, full day excursion to Ranakpur
for sightseeing of the fabulous 500-year-old Jain Temples.
The temples are superbly preserved in near perfect condition.
The most distinctive feature are the 29 halls of the main
temple, some octagonal and many more than one story high,
are dissected by 1444 pillars, each sculpted with unique designs
which no two are the exactly alike. The carving on the walls,
while musicians and dancers have been modeled out of brackets
between the pillars and the ceiling. You will lunch at the
Maharani Bagh Orchard Retreat, the royal orchards of the Jodhpur
Maharaja. Dinner at the hotel. B L D

09 : Udaipur / Mumbai (By Flight 9W 709 - 0815 / 0930 hours)
After
breakfast, the representative will assist you for transfer
to the airport to fly to Mumbai, the dynamic city of tycoons,
skyscrapers, film studios and big business. On arrival, you
will be met by a representative and transferred to The
Oberoi Hotel (Superior Room). Late morning, city tour
of Mumbai, includes, the British built arch "Gateway of
India", Bombay’s landmark, and constructed in 1927, to
commemorate the visit of King Emperor George V, who made the
first-ever State, visit to India by a reigning monarch. Followed
by a drive through Hanging Gardens (now known as Sir
K.P. Mehta Gardens), where the old English art of topiary
is practiced. Continue with a drive through Marine Drive,
only claimed from the sea in 1920 – hence the austere buildings
lining it. At night its superb sweep from Nariman Point
to Malabar Hill twinkles prettily, earning it the cliché:
the Queen’s necklace. Proceed to see William Steven’s masterpiece,
the Victoria Terminus (1878-1887), showing how the
Gothic of Scott and Burges could be adapted to India and make
a really impressive public building. See the exterior carvings
on the history of India’s transportation. The Prince of
Wales Museum, is another building designed by Wittet to
commemorate the globetrotting George V, due to his first visit
to India in 1905, before becoming king. It houses an extensive
collection of fascinating 18th and 19th century miniatures.
On the same floor are elegantly carved ivory artworks as well
as jade and Indian bronze images. Dinner at the Taj Mahal

Day
10 : Mumbai Departure
After breakfast, enjoy a boat tour of the Elephanta
Caves, located on a small island about an hour boat-ride
from the Gateway to India. These caves built between the 6th
and 8th Centuries have some beautiful Hindu sculpture. Afternoon
will be at leisure. Dinner at the hotel. After dinner, the
representative will assist you for transfer to the International
airport to board the flight for onward journey. B D
