PALACE ON WHEELS LUXURY TRAIN: One week in spectacular
town. Enjoy the absolute sumptuousness of the weeklong luxury
train tours of India covering the Rajputana, Mewar and Jaipur
kingdoms of the terrain of Sandbank - Rajasthan. An astonishing
visit to the Taj Mahal. Tour Programme:
Day
01: Journey starts from Delhi Cantt Railway Station. To
board the Palace on wheels- luxury train tour at 1630 hrs
and depart by 1800 hrs.
Day 02: Morning visit 17th century palace fort of Amber
on elephant back. Afternoon visit to the18th century Pink
City of aipur. Lunch at the19th century Rambagh Palace Hotel,
visit City Palace and Museum. Depart for Jaisalmer by 1700
hrs.
Day 03: Morning visit to the 12th century fort town of
Jaisalmer. Evening drive to sun and sand dunes for camel ride
followed by cultural show and dinner. Depart for Jodhpur at
2300 hrs.
Day 04: Morning visit to16th century Meharangarh Fort
Palace. Lunch at early 20th century Umaid Bhawan Palace. Depart
for Sawai Madhavpur at 1600 hrs.
Day 05: An Early morning visit to Ranthambhore Tiger Sanctuary.
Depart for Chittorgarh at 1030 hrs. Afternoon visit ruins
of 7th century Chitttorgarh Fort.
Day 06: Day visit to 16th century Lake City of Udaipur.
Lunch at 19th century Lake Palace Hotel - Depart from Bharatpur
at 2000 hrs
Day 07: Early Morning visit to Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary,
followed by 16th century deserted town of Fatehpur Sikri.
Afternoon visit to17th century Taj Mahal, the monument dedicated
to love, built in white marble. Depart from Delhi at 2100
hrs.
Day 08: Arrival in Delhi by 0500 hrs. Bid adieu to the
luxurious train by 0800 hrs after a hearty breakfast on board.
Extra
Cost: Liquor, Laundry, Portage, Gratuity, Video Camera
fee at monuments all other expenses of personal nature.
The
entire round trip will take 7 days ( Tour starts every WEDNESDAY
) and will include all meals, sightseeing and other off board

Tariff
is inclusive of cost of travel, full catering (morning tea,
breakfast, lunch, evening tea, and dinner), conducted sightseeing
tours in deluxe coaches, entrance fee for monuments, palaces
cultural entertainment at Jaipur and Jaisalmer and boat ride
to and fro Lake Palace Hotel at Udaipur, Elephant ride at
Jaipur, Camel ride at Jaisalmer and Rickshaw ride at Bharatpur.
Note:
Tariff does not include liquor, laundry and other items of
personal nature and video camera charges for entry into Parks
and monuments. Half fare for children between 5 and 12 years.

TERMS
& CONDITION: The tariff for 2004-2005 season (September
2004 onwards) might be subject to change. Since the new fare
is not decided yet, the bookings are being taken at current
rates but the passengers will be liable for any fare hikes
which will be adjusted in the balance payment.

surcharge on published rates for Christmas and New Year departures.
The tour commences every Wednesday evening and concludes on
the next Wednesday morning at Delhi Cantt (For Palace on Wheels
) and at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (For Deccan Odssey).
Railway station. Half fare for children between 5 and 12 years
of age.
Bookings:
30 % advance at the time of booking
70 % advance 50 days prior to departure.
Cancellations:
10 % of the ticket value 70 or more days prior to departure.
40 % of the ticket value 40 - 69 days prior to departure.
60 % of the ticket value 25 - 39 days prior to departure.
100 % less than 20 days prior to departure.
