Taiwan!
The Taiwan
consulate in New York has jurisdictions over the following states:
Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania.
The following
countries are eligible for Visa-Excempt entry for a duration
of 30 days and is not extendable: "Australia, Austria,
Belgium, Canada, Costa Rica, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany,
Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Liechtenstein,
Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway,
Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, U.K., U.S.A."
Ports
of Entry must be one of the following: C.K.S. International Airport,
Kaohsiung International Airport, Keelung Harbor, Hualien Harbor,
Taichung Harbor, Kaohsiung Harbor,Taitung Airport and Taichung Airport..
If your
country is NOT listed above then you WILL require
a visa to enter Taiwan.
Requirements for
a Visitor or Tourist visas to Taiwan are:
- Submit a completed
and signed Application Form
- 2 (two) passport
sized photos
- Your passport
must be valid for at least six months and have a blank page
- U.S. Permanent
Resident Card or Valid Legal Status in the USA for foreign residents
- Proof of international
departure - flight itinerary from the airline or a travel agent
- Evidence of Funds
(Bank Statements)
For Visting Relatives
(Additional documents need):
- Proof of relatives
residence in Taiwan (Household Registration, Alien Residence
Certificate or Permanent Residence Certificate-Spouse &
within 3-generation only)
- Proof documents
for Relationship (Birth Certificate or Household Registration...etc,
relevant identified documents)
For Business Purpose
(Additional documents need):
- Evidence of Business
activities (1. Company's employed & Job assigned letter;
2. Invitation letter; 3. Ongoing letters, trading Records-LC,
remittance receipt...etc.)
- Other additional
documents may be required during processing.
Consulate Fees
are as follows: Single Entry Visa (USD36); Multiple
Entry Visa (USD72); Reciprocal processing fee: USD100
- currently only for American Passport holders. Taiwan Consulate
only accept Cash payments.
Note: All
Documents must be Copied & send in together with the Originals.
